Account details can include your name, email, profile picture, sign-in method, and plan. Password sign-in stores a password hash rather than your plain-text password. Google sign-in can provide your name, email, and profile picture.

Practice records can include typing speed, accuracy, mistakes, duration, scores, streaks, and lesson or game progress. Some settings and progress stay in browser storage; supported account records are also saved on the server.

Session and security records can include session identifiers, IP address, device or browser information, activity, and errors. Support messages contain the information you choose to send.

Information supports sign-in, preferences, saved progress, results, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and support. Account and password-reset messages support the features you use.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, account management, requested practice features and subscriptions are processed to provide the service you request; security and abuse prevention support our legitimate interests in protecting the service; required financial records are processed to meet legal obligations; and optional analytics uses your consent. You can withdraw optional analytics consent through Cookie preferences without losing access to practice.

Exercises handle input differently. Use supplied or fictional information instead of passwords, financial details, or confidential documents. Chat Mode is a fictional practice conversation, not messaging with another person. When AI generation is configured, Typido sends the selected character and recent practice conversation, including your replies, to OpenAI to generate the next part of the exercise. Local fallback exercises may be used when AI generation is unavailable.

Voice controls use browser speech recognition, and voice playback uses browser speech synthesis. Depending on your browser, speech processing may involve its provider. You can manage microphone permission in your browser settings.

Voice Mode plays sentences using browser speech synthesis and accepts typed answers. Its settings and recent sessions are stored in your browser. Voice navigation is a separate feature that can use speech recognition. Browser and AI providers process information under their own service arrangements; not all text or audio processing necessarily stays on your device. Use fictional information in exercises.

Session cookies support sign-in. Browser storage remembers preferences and local progress. Clearing that storage can remove local records; it does not delete your server account.

Typido includes Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights integrations for usage and page-performance measurements. Vercel describes its Web Analytics as cookie-free. This does not mean that Typido has no cookies: account sessions still use them.

Optional analytics and performance measurement load only after you choose Allow analytics. Choose Essential only to decline. You can change your choice through Cookie preferences above, or in dashboard account settings. Declining optional analytics does not prevent you from signing in or practicing.

Typido uses Vercel for hosting and optional analytics/performance measurements, Supabase for the account database, Google for Google sign-in, Resend for password-reset email, and Cloudflare for routing support email. OpenAI processes practice conversations when AI-generated Chat Mode is configured. Your email provider also handles messages you send to support.

Google AdSense advertising is planned for Free access. Ad serving is currently disabled. Publisher verification identifies Typido’s AdSense account; it does not itself load advertising cookies. Advertising choices will be provided separately before advertising is enabled.

Subscriptions use Razorpay checkout. Typido uses subscription and payment references, plan, billing status, and paid-access dates to manage access. Razorpay processes payment details and retains its own payment records under its applicable terms and privacy notice.

Providers may process information outside India or your country, depending on the service and its processing locations. The linked provider notices explain their practices. Contact support@typido.com for questions about a provider, processing location or safeguards relevant to your information. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to address fraud, security incidents or legal claims.

If Google ads are enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies to select ads using previous visits to Typido and other websites. Google’s advertising cookies can allow Google and its partners to personalize ads across sites.

You can manage Google personalized advertising through My Ad Center. Some other vendors offer cookie-based advertising choices through the Digital Advertising Alliance. These choices do not necessarily remove advertising, and browser or device settings can affect how they apply.

Typido’s Allow analytics choice applies only to optional analytics and performance measurements. It does not give consent to advertising. If ads are enabled later, we will update this notice to identify the advertising providers and explain the available consent controls before ad serving begins.

Signed-in viewers can see the top ten typists, with profile display names, speed, accuracy, and result timing. Standard tests lasting at least 30 seconds with 80% or better accuracy are eligible. Each account appears once using its best qualifying result in the selected period. Email addresses are not included.

Ranking is automatic; there is no separate joining step. Changing your profile display name updates the name shown with your results. Clearing saved test history removes those results from the leaderboard.

You can change supported account settings and manage microphone permissions or local storage through your browser. Contact support@typido.com to request access, correction, a copy, deletion, restriction or an objection to processing where applicable law provides these rights. We may need to verify your identity, and will explain any applicable exception. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location.

Account deletion is handled through support@typido.com. Send the request from your account email address. We verify that you control the account before processing it. The account-deletion page explains what is removed and how to stop subscription renewals first. Clearing browser storage or signing out does not delete your account.

The account code uses password hashing, session cookies, and access checks. These safeguards do not guarantee perfect security.

We keep account information and saved progress to support your continued use of Typido. You can request deletion through support. Accounts with no recorded activity for 24 months are reviewed; reaching that point does not automatically delete an account. We will notify you before any proposed deletion due to inactivity and explain how to keep the account.

Processing a verified deletion request removes the profile, sign-in sessions, practice history, game progress and leaderboard results from the active account database. Records needed for payment disputes, tax/accounting obligations or other legal claims may be retained separately for those purposes. We will explain relevant exceptions when handling your request.

Support messages are kept as needed to resolve the request, document its outcome and handle related disputes. Security records are kept as needed to investigate errors, suspicious activity and incidents. Review considers whether the issue is closed, whether a dispute or investigation remains open, and whether an applicable obligation requires a record. Information no longer needed for these purposes is deleted or anonymized through operational review.

Deleting active account records does not instantly erase every backup or provider-held copy. Where backup copies exist, their removal depends on the provider’s backup lifecycle. Completed account deletions must be reapplied before a restored backup is returned to service. Ask support about the retention limits relevant to your request; we do not promise immediate removal from all backups or independent payment-provider records.

Typido accounts are for people aged 18 or older. We do not currently offer parent-managed child accounts or a parental-consent service. Do not create an account for a child or enter a child’s personal information into practice activities.

If you believe a child has supplied personal information, contact support@typido.com so we can investigate and arrange appropriate removal. Do not include unnecessary sensitive details in your first message.
